About Mareike Böhmer

Mareike is a freelance artist from Germany whose creative passion lies in abstract art and nature photography. Her journey began in 2012 with vibrant, geometric abstract graphics. Over time, Mareike's style evolved, drawing inspiration from her frequent travels to Scandinavia. These influences softened her approach, resulting in more organic forms and a gentler color palette. In the past year and a half, Mareike has expanded her work to include larger-scale paintings on canvas, complementing her earlier focus on paper-based pieces. Her photography, characterized by its minimalist compositions and unique lighting, captures the meditative balance she finds in nature. Mareike's artwork is celebrated globally, with her wall art available online through various shops. Her pieces have been featured in renowned interior magazines such as ELLE Decoration, Schöner Wohnen, and VTwonen, and are part of select collections at IKEA.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
