About Mark Schutz
Hello and welcome to my website!My name is Mark Schütz. I?m 31 years of age and passionated about a lot things, but two things in specific, which is where this website is about: traveling and photography. I have studied Communications at the HZ University of Applied Sciences in Vlissingen, The Netherlands. And this is where my adventures around the world have found their start.I have been studying in Istanbul (Turkey) in 2010 at the Kadir Has University and wandered around in this majestic city. The culural and historical background in Istanbul is ununparalleled. The in influence from the Eastern Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman Empire is still reaching out to you in beautiful churches, mosques, palaces and markets. Not to mentioned the religious influences that define the city, of which the Hagia Sophia museum is maybe the most remarkable example. After having enjoyed this so much I was offered the opportunity to study at the Chung Ang University in Seoul (South-Korea). It was a completely different experience from Istanbul, but yet again a majestic city to live in where old palaces are situated right next to modern skyscrapers.During my studies abroad I have discovered and traveled through the countries itself, but also explored adjacent countries. While studying in Istanbul I have visited the not so often traveled Syria and it?s neighbouring country Jordan. These two countries made a made a huge impression on me because of their religious and historical background.
