Martin Verstraaten is a Dutch visual thinker, designer and visual artist with a rich background in fine art and graphic design. From his early years, he combines craftsmanship with keen visual insight - a quality that is the common thread running through his career and creative work.
His artistic journey began with a solid education at ZWN Teacher Training College, where he specialised in drawing and handicrafts. This foundation gave him not only technique, but also the ability to make complex visual ideas clear. After this education, he continued his artistic development at the Royal Academy of Arts, where he studied graphic design and further shaped his vision of art and design.
Martin's work transcends traditional boundaries. He takes inspiration from the landscape and visual world around us, but explores it beyond what is immediately visible - he creates artworks of composite land, astronomical images, animation and graphic design in which stories, forms and meanings merge into new visual realities.
