About Norman van der Geer
My name is Norman van der Geer. I’m a surveyor by trade, but I also love to get out and about with my camera. And because I’m a real outdoorsman, you’ll mostly find me out in the countryside – on the heath, in the woods, in the fields. I love late summer and early autumn most of all, and you can see that reflected in my photographs. But industrial landscapes also capture my attention. I love the hustle and bustle and the dynamism of port areas. Ships that sail all over the world, transporting goods and materials to which we, as a small country, owe a large part of our livelihood. It evokes a sense of romance in me.
