Nynke Venema uses the name 'knynk' to publish photographs and other visual work. After a college education audiovisual design I followed several courses at the Photo Academy in Apeldoorn between 2002 and 2009. I photographed more than ten years in various styles and various subjects. A move from the city of Groningen to the Frisian countryside in 2011 has led that I started photographing the nature as subject increasingly. Therethrough I came to the serie 'heem'. This serie of photographs was the first that was shown to the public through exhibitions. More and more I find my own style. For most of my work is that the compositions are characterized by simplicity and details that others often do not see. Subsequently images are minimally processed causing quiet, sometimes almost abstract yet natural images who give room to the viewer for interpretation.
