About Petra Eva-Maria Schüßler
Through my visual language, I aim to reach people at their very core. I hope that viewers will feel at ease within the energy field of my pictures and that positive emotions will be evoked. My works combine technical precision with a personal, meditative approach, inspired by spiritual, anthroposophical and Buddhist philosophies, as well as historical contexts such as ancient Egypt.
Petra Eva Maria Schüßler (born in 1958 in Gemünden am Main), a native of Lower Franconia with a Silesian soul, completed a comprehensive training in art education and graphic design. She has devoted herself intensively to painting since 1984, and since 1995 her focus has been on large-format, vibrantly coloured acrylic paintings. Her body of work, which has evolved over more than three decades, comprises both abstract and figurative compositions in warm, luminous tones such as orange, terracotta, yellow and red, which are meticulously crafted using multi-layered mixed media techniques. Her art invites the viewer on a journey through time, space and their own inner world.
