Hey there!
How lovely that you’re interested and have popped into my shop – I’m truly honoured!
My name is Renee Verhagen, I’m 27 years old and I live in the lovely town of Uden in North Brabant.
In my day job, I work as a childcare professional at a nursery, and I absolutely love it!
As well as my day job, I can often be found out in nature with a camera in my hands. I’m serious – just for fun, I’ll get up at 4 am, get in my car and drive somewhere so I can be there before sunrise, and I’ll sit at my laptop late into the night sorting through my photos. Yes, I do that voluntarily too, because I enjoy it 😉 I got my hands on my first ‘proper’ camera when I was about 5 years old; when my parents bought a new one, I was allowed to ‘play’ with it. From then on, I was often spotted with a camera, simply because I enjoyed it.
A few years ago, I really started taking it up again as a serious hobby, and I get a lot of enjoyment out of it!
I prefer to describe my work as: Fine art (nature) • Soft Light • Tranquillity • Earth tones
That’s also where the name ‘Rêve’ comes from. Firstly, it’s of course the first two letters of my first and last name, but ‘Rêve’ also means ‘dream’ in French, and that’s exactly the atmosphere I try to create in my photos: an honest, soft, dreamy and soothing image.
