I am Ricardo Paz Belvis, a photographer and filmmaker from the Eindhoven area in the Netherlands. My work often starts from the same place: I am drawn to locations where atmosphere, architecture and story come together.
In my photography, I look for lines, contrasts, light and small details that are easy to miss when you simply walk past. Old factory buildings, modern facades, raw urban edges, warm night light, glass, steel, concrete and unexpected views. Much of my work is made in and around Eindhoven, with a special focus on Strijp-S: a place where the industrial Philips past is still visible, while the city keeps moving forward.
As a filmmaker, I am used to thinking in images. Not only: what is in the frame? But also: what does it make you feel? To me, a photograph should be more than a registration. It can bring calm, create tension, hold a memory or simply show a place in a way you might not normally notice.
My collection mainly consists of urban photography, architecture, industrial heritage, black-and-white images and atmospheric details. Images with character, suited to modern interiors, offices, studios and spaces that deserve something on the wall that does not feel too polished or generic.
