My name is Michelle de Vries-Stijl. I am the face behind STIM Photography and Funeral Photographer with Style. I am married to Erik and mother of three teenage sons. Photography is my passion! Without a camera I'm not going anywhere. In photographing and in my contacts with the people I photograph I find and see love, sadness, interaction, connection, emotion, vulnerability. It is so beautiful and valuable to be part of that for a while by capturing it with my camera.
It is with great pleasure that I record your wedding or event in reportage form. Walking around and seeing and capturing beautiful moments is what makes me very happy. Also a photo shoot on location in a relaxed atmosphere remains a party to do. I prefer to take natural, casual photos because I believe that people are at their most beautiful then.
The last few years I've mainly been working on farewell photography. Here lies my heart. My own father died when I was fifteen years old. From his funeral I still remember some things, but most of the memories have unfortunately faded away. How it would have helped me if photos had been taken back then...
