I'm Tomas,
In 2014 I made a Roadtrip through Europe with a friend, this was my first real travel experience. Unprepared and with a small supply of groceries we left the Netherlands behind to see what adventure awaited us. "We are going on an adventure!"
Once back in the Netherlands we couldn't stop talking about this Roadtrip.
Was it because this was my first real travel experience or because this was the beginning of a passion I didn't know anything about yet?
One thing I did know and that was that I wanted to taste more of this but I hadn't come much further than Europe yet. Until 2015 I made my first real intercontinental journey. Although I had never flown before, I chose to travel to one of the farthest corners of the world... Australia it was mate!
During this trip I knew that travelling was going to be one of my greatest passions, but to be able to combine this with photography (which I was discovering at the time), made the whole picture complete.
It also changed my whole outlook on life. I started to appreciate and respect the little things more. "What you don't have, you don't miss" was a slogan I once saw passing by. As a modern Westerner, I set so much store by this that I started living a minimalist life with the sole purpose of saving money for tickets to as yet undiscovered destinations.
