I am Wouter Bisschop from Utrecht. As a boy I was addicted to drawing and I started to paint more and more and also made digital works.
I make paintings of cities, landscapes, portraits, but also surrealistic things. The latter comes mainly from my love for comics. You can also see my love for comics in my digital works where I use drawings.
My style of painting is realistic but not photo-realistic. I use acrylic paint which makes the paintings a bit coarser but very colorful. Perhaps the color also comes from my color blindness. I do not see that as much as a handicap but maybe even an advantage for the use of color. But everyone must judge that for themselves of course.
My digital works and surrealist paintings are characterized by a lot of light dark use. I also like to process depth in my work so that you are sucked into the image.
I do assignments besides the works that I make out of myself.
