For a long time I have been exploring the fascinating and inexhaustible world of fractals with the help of various software tools. My works are created through the manipulation of mathematical formulas, revealing amazing and complex patterns and structures. The tools used are merely tools, comparable to cameras, that help me discover and photograph the most beautiful architectures and vistas of the mathematical world. Fractals are generated, but strictly speaking they are found. In their undiscovered state, they are pure potential, which only becomes existent and thus visible at the moment of calculation. Schrödinger's cat has left its box for a universe in which it can endlessly redefine and rediscover itself - always well hidden - with a wide variety of faces. My artistic longing is to search for unusual views that even an experienced viewer can no longer clearly classify as fractals. They should captivate the viewer's gaze, set powerful colour accents and, as long as the 2D environment allows, also convey an impression of space wherever possible. If, when looking at one of my pictures, you have the feeling "I don't know why, but it fascinates me", then my goal has been achieved.
