I am Perennially Inspired by Nature, especially the verdant green mountains of Home.
Nature was replete with blue skies, vibrant flowers and seasonal produce.
The water was crystal clear and remained cool even in the summer. The weather was temperate and with every season, one saw a profusion of sights and sounds of fauna and people all around my impressionable mind.
This piece has the artist gazing at the horizon with undulating mountains melting into the ever changing sky, creating a symphony of colour and memories of 'A Place Called Home'.
I am deeply influenced by the art of the Impressionists, especially Renoir, Monet, Pressario, Morisot, Dega and later Cezanne, Gaugin right up to Van Gogh and Picasso.
I usually paint on canvas using acrylics, and I often create art on glass and wood or even paper using a combination of Impressionistic strokes and decoupage.
Most of my Artworks are colourful and vibrant, uplifting the space which they occupy. Of late I have been painting a lot more on the computer as it is less messy and cumbersome.
I am a self taught artist who began painting at the age of 10 when I sketched a portrait of my paternal grandmother.
