About ‘A glow between stone and steel’ by Walter G. Allgöwer

Cologne Cathedral rises up in the soft glow of the LED lights - a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, a guardian over the centuries. Its dark stone is suffused with golden light, as if the sky itself had touched the towers. Between heaven and earth, it whispers stories of faith, endurance and the passage of time.
The Hohenzollern Bridge, mighty yet elegant, arches in the foreground like a steel poem of arches and lines. Its shining skeleton seems to breathe in time with the city - as if it connects not only banks, but also souls. It carries the footsteps of lovers, the weight of everyday life, the throbbing of life in a city that never sleeps.
The sky is a deep blue, almost velvety, making the play of light in gold and shadow seem even more dramatic. Here, past meets present, stone meets steel, stillness meets movement. In the evening light, Cologne reveals itself not just as a city, but as a feeling.
A silent, reverent amazement remains - because here, in this place, it becomes visible how man and time have created great things together. A monument to hope, a beacon of history.
