On the image, we see a pair of men's half-height shoes. One shoe is upside down and the other is upright. Of the reclining shoe, the entire underside of the sole can be seen. This sole has a coarse profile and a low heel. The standing shoe has a blue lace. This blue lace is laced through the lower holes only. The long ends of this are partly lightly draped over the reclining shoe and partly on the ground. The lip of the shoe hangs forward and is slightly crinkled. The interior is lined with a kind of light teddy fabric. The main colours of the sculpture are orange, blue and red.
The picture has been post-processed in Lightroom. The colours are exaggerated and the contrast is high, making it look very much like a painting. My inspiration for this picture is Van Gogh's painting "the shoes". Van Gogh's painting is quite sober. I chose to modernise it with contemporary shoes, modern techniques and a colourful twist.
