This photo was taken in the Harderwijker forest on the Veluwe. It is a small heath in the forest that you have to know is there. When I was there, fortunately the sun was shining even though you can see some clouds in the sky. In this piece of forest, besides heathland, Scots pine and birch also grow. It is a typical Veluwe landscape you see in the photo. To take this photo, I had to walk a bit because it is not near a car park. It is, however, made of a dirt track over which there is also a footpath. A local walker has probably seen this little heathland in the forest before.
