Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘A swan is coming towards me’ by Marjolein Deelen

A long time ago, I used to feed the ducks where this swan also had its nest. As I would wade out towards the animals, this swan would fly over to me after a while whenever it spotted me. I feel privileged to have been able to take photo's of this imposing creature, which usually only stopped right in front of me! I often felt the droplets splashing up from the force of the water as the swan moved! When I look at the large prints on the wall in our house, where it charges towards me with tremendous power and stares at me, I’m still in awe! Cropping the photo really brings out that power even more and makes it look as if the bird is flying straight into the room! As this sort of thing rarely, if ever, happens, I want others to enjoy this impressive bird too! Sadly, this swan is no longer with us, but he did live to be over 25 years old. His mate also lived to be that old! Fortunately, I was able to take lots of photo's of him and I hope to make other people happy with them too, because let’s face it, they really are magnificent animals!
