A tranquil winter watercolour featuring a globe

by Henk Egbertzen

A serene, quiet winter. The young woman cradles the globe, surrounded by a gentle snow-covered landscape with pine trees and swirling snowflakes.

This work is the fourth and final part of the visual symphony: the four seasons. The cool, soft tones evoke a sense of tranquillity, contemplation and stillness.
-
As the snow falls gently, she holds the globe firmly. It symbolises the strength and fragility of the earth during the coldest time of the year, a moment of inner peace.
-
The colours are cool yet soft: ice blue, grey, white and a hint of warm beige. This palette creates a fresh yet warm atmosphere, perfect for a soothing environment.
-
The watercolour texture creates an airy and dreamy effect. The piece exudes the stillness of winter, without feeling cold. It is an invitation to pause for a moment and reflect on the cycle of nature.

This artwork completes the four-piece set. It is also ideal as a standalone piece in a bedroom or any space where one wishes to unwind. It brings the serene beauty of winter into your home.
