This is a photo of a beautiful staircase in one of the buildings of an abandoned sanatorium complex. Construction of the complex started in the 30s of the 20th century. In the 60s, after treatment of tuberculosis became much more effective with penicillin, the complex closed. Since then, the buildings are abandoned and derelict. Due to architectural heritage 'rules', each project or sale to start working on the complex has been shut down.
