This is a photo of a beautiful theatre in decay. The original theatre was built in the 17th century. Due to irreparable deterioration it was demolished in early 20th century. However, 4 years later a new theatre was built which is the one you see in this photo. At first, the theatre was found 'too modern', and another architect redecorated the place in an art deco style with art nouveau details. This was much more appreciated by the public. Unfortunately, the theatre was severely damaged by an earthquake a couple of years ago and has since then been abandoned.
