About ‘Abandoned swimming pool’ by Eus Driessen

At the end of the 19th century there were already plans to build this pool, but construction began in the First World War to prevent its inhabitants from being employed in factories in Germany and ended up in the German war industry. In the twenties the pool was open to the citizens they could wash themselves to prevent cholera disease. Rich people go to the front and poor people could enter the pool at the back of the building. The swimming pool is built in Neo-Renaissance style. The swimming pool is now no longer vacated and becomes a hotel.
