About the artwork
Abstract expressionist portrait of a woman | in black Ink and acrylic A beautiful woman, expressionistically painted with a wonderfully contrasting pink area on the right. This gives the contrast between black and white (beige) a playful look, which is at the same time super cool and feminine. With scratches, drippings and coarse brushstrokes, the portrait is set up simplistically. The eyes are set off with extra contrast, giving it real power.
Placing the portrait just off centre gives the whole a dynamic effect.
An art deco print in the form of a stamping technique shines through in the background. Up close, you can still very slightly recognise the structure of the canvas. Tough and elegant for a contemporary, daring and/or industrial interior.
