An abstract blurry impression of multicoloured Christmas lights with fibreglass (actually fibre optics made of plastic). These kinds of lights are blissful to photograph with a macro lens with a very limited depth of field. Depending on how you choose the focus point, you get a completely different image every time. You can then determine the shape of the colourful light circles by aperture or not. I opted for maximum aperture to create little circles, but with a slightly smaller aperture you get more hexagons. I once bought the light garland especially for this when I was still experimenting with analogue photography. It still contains ordinary light bulbs instead of the ubiquitous LEDs, which I feel gives somewhat softer colours.
