Abstract ribbon-like shapes in wine red and beige

by Valleifoto | Rick van de Kraats

An expressive composition of undulating ribbon-like forms in which colour, light and texture seem to constantly shift in relation to one another. Deep wine-red areas alternate with soft shades of pink, warm beige tones and light champagne-coloured surfaces. Together, they form an abstract whole with a striking sense of space.

The forms appear to be made of thin, supple, curved layers with a refined linear structure. Some sections fold inwards, creating deep shadows, whilst others catch the light. This lends the composition an almost architectural character, with a fascinating interplay between openness, movement and a sense of security.

This abstract wall decoration is particularly well-suited to those seeking a large artwork that can define the atmosphere of a room without relying on a recognisable subject. The horizontal format creates a lovely balance above a wide sofa, a modern sideboard or a long dining table.

In an interior featuring natural materials, the soft colours enhance the warm character of the space. In a minimalist room, the bold wine-red accents, on the other hand, provide contrast and depth.

This piece can also serve as a distinctive feature in a stylish office, reception area or design hotel. The combination of sculptural forms and refined colour gradients makes it an interesting choice for lovers of modern abstract art.
