From a series of 11abstract works by Vanessa van Soest in square format. These works were inspired by a weekend in nature. The shapes were found in a wooded area and simplified into this abstract work. Many layers were used. All the materials I had available at the time were used. Like acrylic paint, pen, pencil and collage. The colours are mainly red and pink with hints of blue and turquoise. Finished with white and line drawings in black. Beautiful as 1 but certainly lovely in combination with other works from this series. Check out the photos for inspiration!
