"Abstraction in natural shades of green and brown" is a macro photograph where I looked at colours and textures of materials and natural elements. This photo was taken of a small piece of a stack of shells.
This shell is probably a Green Abalone (or Haliotis Fulgens and in Dutch these are also called Sea Ears).
Stacking these with the "spotted" side up creates an image you don't immediately recognise. The colours and pattern remind me of an army print but also of a jungle and autumn in terms of colours.
If you look closely at the picture, you can see that the focus is on the middle part. Next to the shell stack, you can see the same colours reflected from the shells. These reflections are more abstract and give a calmness to the photo.
This natural abstract photo could, for example, hang beautifully as wall decoration in the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or simply above the couch in the living room! Also beautiful on the wall in a meeting room (business).
