About the artwork

The Sabine Virgins robbery is a mythical occurrence from just after the founding of the city of Rome.

Here it is called, Rape of the Sabine Woman.

Romulus spread Rome's reputation as a haven for all who wanted a new life. As a result, Rome attracted a population of exiles, refugees, murderers, criminals and fugitive slaves. Romulus' population grew so much that the city expanded over five of the seven hills surrounding it: the Capitoline, the Aventine, the Coelius, the Quirinal, and the Palatine. Romulus, however, saw a problem fast approaching. While the city was filling up with foreigners, there were very few women among them, so Romulus decided that he needed to fill his city with women as well. Romulus had a plan to kidnap the Sabine women and take them to Rome as his citizens.

The guy kidnaps a girl. both are naked in the portrait with torso, breasts and buttocks exposed.

All in all a sexy and sensual erotic picture.

Alexander Theodor Rothaug (March 13, 1870 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary; March 5, 1946) was an Austrian painter and illustrator.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
