About ‘Alexanderplatz’ by rosstek ®

Experience the Nostalgia of Alexanderplatz, the vibrant heart of Berlin.

Wander through the heart of the German capital and soak up the nostalgic charm of Alexanderplatz, affectionately called 'Alex' by locals. This historic square, once a medieval cattle market, underwent a socialist transformation in the 1960s that made it the bustling centre of East Berlin. The sight of the imposing, 368-metre-high Berliner Fernsehturm evokes memories of that time; built as a symbol of the pride of the GDR, the tower still dominates the skyline.

Nearby stands the iconic World Time Clock (Weltzeituhr), an engineering masterpiece from 1969 that displays time in cities around the world. Since its installation, it has been a popular meeting place for Berliners and tourists alike, a place where time ticks in every zone and where unforgettable protests against the regime began in 1989. Walking around the square, between modern buildings, you can still catch a glimpse of Berlin's oldest buildings, such as the nearby Marienkirche and the Rotes Rathaus. What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
