In the garage at the end of the street hides a treasure: a 1962 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider, lovingly maintained by my neighbourhood man. The summer sun crept into the garage and made acquaintance with her bodywork as we talked about the enchantment of this Italian masterpiece. Just like that, without saying anything, the neighbourhood man put her outside, and there she stood, radiant under the warm rays of the sun. "Do you want to take pictures'" he asked and away I went.
My camera clicked tirelessly, determined to capture this moment. Back home, I digitally dismantled this beauty, carefully preserving every part. I played with filters and masks, rebuilding the Giulietta like a digital puzzle. Until, bingo! The perfect balance had been found.
Proud of the result, this work fits perfectly in the hall of a true Alfa lover, this painting fits in a study where, between business, people muse endlessly about that trip through Tuscany, where her hair is charmingly held in check by a red band and the white wine waits and a cold beer awaits
