The illuminated Molen de Eendracht windmill in Alphen aan den Rijn during a windless evening, allowing the mill to reflect beautifully in the water of the Oude Rijn river. The history of this mill dates back to 1752 when it was built as a type of Pelmolen under the name "De Twee Gebroeders" in Zaandam. After it ceased operation in 1897, it was dismantled and rebuilt in Alphen aan den Rijn. In 1973, the mill was restored. Today, Indonesian restaurant Sari Djawa is located in the lower part of the mill. Because mills inspire me enormously, I wanted to photograph the Eendracht in the evening when it is beautifully lit and when there is little wind so that the mill is beautifully reflected in the water.
