The 'Binnenkant' in Amsterdam is one of the city's oldest canals.
From this old section on the IJ, the city has expanded in all directions like a balloon.
This panorama presents a typical Amsterdam image with canals, canal houses, bridges and boats.
For centuries, this has been the same picture with activity on the quays and canals.
The Montelbaan tower stands by and looks at it.
Even now, that is still the same picture;
Like going back in time.
