About "Amsterdam canal"

About the artwork

Amsterdam's ring of canals. A cheerful collage with a background of enlarged watercolour spots combined with the clean white silhouette of the photograph of the canal with its gables, bridges and the bicycle, of course. I combine everything in a collage: photos, drawings, sketches, paintings, pieces of watercolour, squared paper, cuttings of sewing patterns, newspaper clippings, bits of French text from magazines, etc. I make the collage while rummaging through my archive built up over the years. The collage comes about in stages. On the easel, on the drawing board, photographed and divided again. Repetition of actions, weighing the result, taking distance and not doing anything with it for a few days and then working through because the image suddenly forms and the work comes out of your hands as if by itself. Inspired by Picasso, Matisse, Asger Jorn, Keith Haring.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
