"An orange Echinacea (Sun Hat) with its flower in the light" is a macro photo of a flower of a simple Echinacea. "Zonnehoed" is what this plant is also called in the Netherlands. I suspect the flower owes this name to the shape of the flower (hat with bulge) and the fact that it stands in the sun (blooms in the Netherlands roughly in July - August).
Because the flower is turned towards the light, which comes somewhat obliquely from behind, you can see the light falling nicely on the petals. This gives something of tension in the photo. This is because it creates a shadow effect.
The colours in this picture are warm and give me the feeling of autumn and warmth. Because there is only a flower in this work and the background has a kind of gradient, it creates calmness. The background also has a warm brown colour.
If you zoom in on the work, you can clearly see how beautifully detailed the heart of this flower is.
This picture could hang beautifully as wall decoration, (on aluminium or ArtFrame for example) in the waiting room, bedroom or of course just above the couch in the living room!
