About the artwork
The mountain range called Sierra del Ferrer is not one of the well-known hiking destinations in the Alicante province in Spain, but is more of an insider tip. This photograph was taken during the ascent to the ridge path. White limestone cliffs meet green pine trees and Mediterranean grasses. Clear, blue sky meets a wide mountain landscape. On a sunny day in the middle of nature.
This photograph is dedicated to the peace and seclusion that makes hiking in the mountainous hinterland of the Alicante province a very special nature experience. Rock formations that bear the marks of time and at the same time stand for durability.
My work is inspired by long hikes in the southeast of Spain, where I am enchanted by Mediterranean mountain landscapes and imposing rock faces.
When I look at rock formations that Mother Nature has sculpted through millennia of weathering, the clocks seem to tick a little slower. In my opinion, they represent the beauty of nature, which existed long before man - and hopefully will exist for a very long time. This rock formation is destined to bring some of the magic of the Spanish mountains into your home.
