Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

Beta feature. You need an AR-capable device (a recent iPhone/iPad or Android). The AR view is only an indication; colour, size and finish may differ in reality.

About ‘At the North Cape’ by Wiltrud Schwantz

The Globe is a sculpture on the North Cape plateau in Norway and the symbol of the North Cape.

The steel sculpture was erected in 1978 and depicts a globe whose steel rings represent lines of longitude and latitude. It stands on a steel pillar with several sloping struts, which rises from a plinth accessible via five steps.

The axis of the globe is aligned parallel to the Earth’s axis. This means that its parallels of latitude run parallel to the Earth’s parallels of latitude.

The globe symbolises the global meeting point at the North Cape, where people from all over the world come together.
