Audi tightened the thumbscrews on the 4.0 TFSI block once more and squeezed a little extra power out of the V8. A higher turbo pressure and rev limit ensure that it delivers 605 PS and 700 Nm in the Performance versions, with an overboost function that briefly increases torque to 750 Nm.
Flights to the 200 km/h in 12.1 seconds
It allows the RS6 Avant performance and the Audi RS7 Sportback performance to reach 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. A gain of 0.2 counts on the regular RS6/7. After 12,1 seconds the clock shows 200 km/h (-1,4 sec) and if the dynamic package is ticked the acceleration only stops at 305 km/h. What has remained unchanged is the eight-step tiptronic-box, with shift gears, and the quattro system, which in standard mode distributes the power 40/60 over the front/rear wheels.
