About the artwork

Nature, history and culture come together in Friesland, a beautiful province in the north of the Netherlands. It is an area of water and meadows, with lakes and a vast wadden area on the North Sea. It is a wonderful place to walk and enjoy the peaceful nature. While visiting Friesland, I also discovered the charm of its old towns and villages, such as historic Dokkum. It is a town full of photographic hotspots, including this beautiful old windmill, a cultural heritage of the Netherlands and Europe. I was fascinated by the majestic appearance of the mill, photographed from a frog perspective to enhance the sense of its grandeur. The background was filled with clouds that seemed to drift away, creating an exciting scene. The black-and-white conversion gave the photo a dramatic feel. This black-and-white fine art architectural photo of the Friesian windmill fits perfectly in any home, regardless of interior style. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
