As autumn sets in, the world naturally changes colour. The leaves turn from green to red, orange and finally to yellow or even brown. Temperatures drop. It gets bleak and cold. The wind picks up and the heating is turned up. Everyone sits inside more. The lamp over the table goes on and the teapot comes to the fore. Because hot tea suits this time of year. Cosy together around the table with a pot of tea in the middle. Reading the newspaper or a book is also part of it. This ritual has been the same for centuries, deeply rooted in our society, hence the old teapot with the old enamelled bowls underneath, a piece of history. Together, they symbolise drinking tea together, often with the children when they come home after school, chilled out, looking for a cup of hot tea. The colours of this collage are therefore the colours of autumn namely red, orange, yellow, cream and brown.
As an artist, I like to enter a colorful world especially the world of flowers. This colourful and so positive world appeals to me enormously. Flowers spread a positive atmosphere because of the colors and the beautiful and diverse shapes and one can never get enough of that!.. Read more…
