During Air Force Days, the skies were briefly returned to history when an imposing B-17 Flying Fortress made its rounds over the airfield. With its four engines roaring and its silver fuselage glistening in the sunlight, the aircraft immediately caught the attention of young and old alike. This photo captures the iconic bomber in full flight, with all the details of its propellers, glass nose section and distinctive tail clearly visible. For me as a photographer and aviation enthusiast, this is a dream image, where heritage and airpower come together. The B-17 is not only a World War II technological marvel, but also a symbol of aviation history and air support that was ahead of its time. Its presence at the Air Force Days brought not only sound but also stories to life.
