About ‘BIG Cat’ by The White Rabbit

This photograph of a Tiger was taken many years ago and is still one of my all time favourites. I had spent around 2 hours with the Tigers and had shot many of the 'usual' photographs that you would expect. In many ways the Tigers had almost started to ignore my presence and then just as I was about to leave the area one particular Tiger turned towards me.

Its head pushing forward out of the shadows of where it had been laid. Its eyes were completely focused on me and it was staring straight at me. At first I have to admit that it was completely beautiful but also slightly unnerving. I reached very slowly for my camera in faer that any sudden movement would cause it to shift, what was a perfect position, and I shot this one frame.

The light was low and I was working with an aperture that was quite low so the depth of focus is very small. The resulting image I feel is very engaging and works as a very strong image in black and white.

If you want a impressive animal print that has eyes that are totally engaged where ever you stand and look at it, this is the one.

A beautiful and dramatic piece of contemporary black and white artwork that looks stunning in print and is ideal for a talking point piece of original artwork in your home or office environment.
