If you can dwell on the everyday, you can always find something special. So here too with this fern. A plant that can be found anywhere in the world. But when it grows on the border between the Netherlands and Germany - in the Aamsveen - you can enjoy the power of nature. Among many plants that are flowering and fighting for their place in the sun, I found this curly fern that was just coming out of bloom. The dark background and the green colours give this image nice depth and a calm image. The zoom on the curl creates a dynamic that is A-symetric and therefore balances the tranquillity and playfulness. I chose to superfocus on the curly leaf, so that the hairs and details come out clearly from the 2 front leaves. You can see in the depth the other leaves stand out because the light shines on them and the young leaf is greener than the leaves around it.
