The artwork shows Bamberg's Old Town Hall, an architectural jewel perched on a bridge over the Regnitz river. The building's characteristic half-timbered façade stands out strikingly against the clear sky, while the surrounding historical buildings harmoniously frame the scene. The composition captures the interplay of water, stone and wood - a symbol of the connection between nature and culture.
The inspiration for this work came from a visit to Bamberg, where I was particularly fascinated by the unusual location of the town hall - seemingly suspended between two worlds. The aim was not only to depict an architectural monument, but also to visualise the balance between past and present.
The atmosphere is calm, almost timeless. The clear light and precise lines create a sense of permanence and order. This work is intended to invite the viewer to pause and rediscover the beauty of historical architecture.
In an interior, this work of art acts as a visual anchor. It brings structure, depth and cultural significance to the room - without being obtrusive. Especially in modern or minimalist environments, it creates an exciting contrast and tells a story at the same time.
