About the artwork

A romantic evening in Venice, with beautiful soft ligth on the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute during sunset.

At first I didn't even notice the basilica. We sailed with a boat on the Grand Canal, the largest and most famous canal in Venice. I was not the only person on the boat taking pictures and it took a while to find a good spot among the people to get a good view of the beautiful Venetian buildings. I mostly took pictures from the left or right side of the boat, my lens pointed at the beautiful, historic houses on the quay. But I didn't like it, neither the images I was shooting, nor the crowds on the boat.

So I was looking for a quieter place to shoot from and with a different perspective. That's why I walked to the back of the boat at one point. Just then the basilica appeared in all its glory, with the sun shining on it. Well, this is a chance! I had to act fast, the composition of the image changed rapidly due to the speed of the boat. I looked quickly, saw the typical red and white poles in the picture and hey, also a gondola! Yes, that's how a lot came together in one moment and that was the moment for me to press the button. The result is a romantic and typically Venetian image.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
