This bird, or called the "sandpiper", does exactly what its name suggests.
This tiny bird was walking down the beach along the water, looking for mussels that had washed up. I followed and photographed it for over fifteen minutes, and it wasn't easy.
The creature walks quickly and is constantly in motion, making it difficult to get the bird in focus. That combined with the fact that I couldn't stand still for a second and had to chase the bird continuously (from a distance), made this photo very difficult.
Of the few hundred photos I took, this is one that turned out well.
The photo was taken on Ouddorp beach in South Holland, near the border with Zeeland.
