This is a colour pencil drawing of a bearded dragon. This drawing took me many hours. Especially because of the small details of all the scales. The bearded dragon is also called Pogona. It is a type of lizard, and is native to central Australia. I always really enjoy making these kinds of drawings with so many details. When I focus on such details, I forget everything around me. And I really enjoy the challenge. I enjoy drawing reptiles in general. I often make drawings in black and white with graphite, but with some animals the colour is a very important aspect, so then I often decide to do it with coloured pencil instead of graphite.
