The bearded reedling is a reed bird. The male has characteristic 'sideburns'. Its clear ringing call can be heard from the reeds. In winter, bearded warblers roam and can be found in smaller reed beds. Bouncing among the reeds, this agile little bird collects insects. In winter, they also eat the seeds in the reed beds. They are difficult to photograph, especially in summer. It took me days and many hours, to get this bearded reedling beautifully photographed. I have 3 to use as a triptych. This beautiful one with its penetrating gaze is an asset in any room alone but also certainly as a triptych.
