This images focuses on two blooms of beautiful iris , just one stem highlighted by the sunshine against the dark of the woodland behind. Such bright and cheery flowers, this is a blue variety with a beautifully contrasting lemon yellow beard that actually has the most gorgeous perfume. The only problem with these iris is that they are a favorite food for wild porcupines in the summer. They dig up the tubers and eat them!
