A beautiful summer sunset in beautiful Amsterdam. The sky was on fire.
The sun set right behind the Basilica of Saint Nicholas. This caused a beautiful glow to shine on the church. And just at that moment, a number of seagulls flew by. A beautiful moment at the end of the day.
This skyline can be found near Amsterdam Central Station. Opposite Central Station you find the Basilica and these beautiful canal houses and boats. The Basilica was built at the end of the nineteenth century, the architecture and interior are beautiful. A visit to the Basilica is more than worth it. You will find inside beautiful decorations, sculptures, stained glass windows and many paintings.
It was truly enjoyable during this evening, and in capturing it in this photo. More photos of the capital from sunrise to sunset can be found in my shop in the Amsterdam folder.
