About ‘Benschopperstraat 43, IJsselstein.’ by Tony Buijse

This building is a remnant of the former Ewoutsgasthuis monastery building. The facade is plastered and has buttresses that are partially built in. Some cross windows are visible.
The former chapel is now used as a restaurant. The building is a national monument.
The photo is made in black and white, which gives it an artistic timeless look. Details are beautifully and correctly emphasized. Due to the lack of color, this can no longer cause distraction. Composition, shapes, lines, fine gray nuances, structures and contrast ensure that the subject is given a much more prominent place in the image.

Tony Buijse is a Dutch photographer, lives in IJsselstein and is best known for his reports that he makes of sports competitions and events.
His landscape photos and cityscapes have been shown at several exhibitions. Much of his photo work is available as wall decoration on Werkaandemuur. Most of these photos were taken during trips and excursions.
