This architectural cityscape was taken on 4 February 2018 in the sunny midday hours with the NIKON D90 camera (lens: SIGMA 18.0-50.0 mm f/2.8) during a short photo tour in the Tiergarten district of Berlin together with friends from Italy. During an extensive winter city walk together, I showed them the landmarks and architectural features of my home city of Berlin.
The Berlin Victory Column bears a female bronze figure, the goddess of victory Victoria, who commemorates the victories of Prussia. Because of her gilding, she is popularly known in Berlin as the "Goldelse".
